We are a team of practitioners that are focused on trying to help you get back to the things you love. You may have wondered why we call ourselves 'LAB' health. Well the LAB is short for    Life And Balance. We strive for this in everything we do, from how we treat patients, to our expectations of what patients can handle and to how we run the business. If your life is out of balance then everything starts to get more difficult. We try really hard to keep our work and personal lives in balance so that we can continue to support our community in all their active lifestyle endeavours.

Lab Health is a local health clinic serving the Victoria area. We have two locations to help serve our community to the best of our abilities. We are located in Esquimalt in the Esquimalt Recreation Centre and in James Bay we are located across the street from Thrifty Foods in the Pharmasave Building.

In Esquimalt we have full access to the fitness centre/gym and the pool. Our team can take you in the gym which allows us to offer superior injury rehabilitation, exercise analysis and prescription. The pool is warm which gives us the optimal environment to use the benefits of water to help you get back to doing the things you love.

In James Bay, we have two private treatment rooms and a dedicated gym space with all the equipment needed to help you rehab from surgery or get back to marathon running.

We offer Physiotherapy, Dry Needling, Pelvic Health Therapy, Cancer Rehabilitation Physiotherapy, Kinesiology, Athletic Therapy, Acupuncture, Cranio-sacral Therapy and Registered Massage Therapy services.

Our approach is one-on-one with tailored assessments and treatments to your specific goals. We spend the whole appointment focused on you and your injury needs.

Cancelation & Credit Card Authorization Policies


Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists' day that could have been filled by another patient. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide 24 hours notice to avoid any late fee. You can easily cancel or reschedule in a timely manner by logging into your Jane account. If cancelling or rescheduling due to illness, please give us as much notice as possible and consider rescheduling your appointment to our Tele-Rehab service. If you have COVID-like symptoms please stay home and call the clinic to reschedule your appointment. 

For all NON-ILLNESS related reasons, we understand that life happens and this is why we give everyone one pass on this fee. However, after your first time our policy is 1) Notice given less than 24 will be charged 50% of the fee to the authorized credit card on file. 2)  No notice given for not attending your appointment, a ‘no show’, will be charged the full appointment fee to the authorized credit card on file.

Lab Health Physio protects your personal health information and your credit card information with the utmost respect and privacy. We treat your information as if it were our own. Your credit card information is NEVER stored at Lab Health clinics or in Jane app. It is stored in multilayer secured PCI-compliant credit card processors that are purpose built to store sensitive credit card data. When you enter credit card information into this Jane form, Jane creates and keeps a 'token' that can be used to reference that information. This 'token' has no identifiable credit card information, only a section of code to reference the data you input. The actual sensitive information is sent to and stored within the PCI-compliant payment processing system, Payfirma. If you do not have a credit card please call 250 386 7254 and we can assist you with booking your appointment. You will be asked to answer the statement below:
I, authorize, Lab Health Physio employees and affiliated health professionals to charge the credit card I have added to this form. I understand that my credit card will only be charged for services rendered or products received. I understand that my credit card will be charged if I cancel within the 24 hours before my appointment or if I ‘no show’ for my scheduled appointment, as per the cancellation policy above. **ICBC, WCB & DND patients will only be charged if they ‘no show’ or late cancel for a scheduled appointment, as per the cancellation policy above. All other service fees are billed to the insurance company or funding provider.
